Hawkesbury Horticultural Society Show

Hawkesbury Show attracts around 2,000 visitors each year and is held at the Village Hall and recreation ground, High Street, Hawkesbury Upton. The show is held every year at the end of August, the main attraction is the large produce marquee, full of the biggest and best fruit, vegetables and flowers as well as crafts, home baking, wine, photographs and pictures.

There is entertainment in the central arena, fairground rides, a deer roast, beer tent, raffle, live music from a local silver band, archery displays and local crafts and produce stalls. The popular carnival procession begins with the crowning of the carnival queen before travelling through the village to the Show Ground.

Information for stall holders

Stalls need to be set up by 12.00 noon as gates open to the public at 12.30pm. Access to the field by car or van is between 7am and 11.30am – after that time cars are not permitted to drive onto the field but may remain parked by their stall during the day. Stalls can depart from 6.00pm although visitors will still be on the show ground as the show concludes with the Auction of donated produce in the marquee at 7.00pm.

Pitch fee for a stall is £20, which will be collected in cash at the end of the day. Charity displays are free but a donation towards the running costs of the show is always welcome. Pitches are available on the large grassed area behind the village hall although there is room for a few small stalls inside the village hall where the refreshments are sold. Most stallholders bring a gazebo and their own table, chairs and signs. We can provide a few chairs per stall if requested. There is space allocated by your pitch for one car, if you require more space, let us know. A map and plan of the stalls will be sent to stall holders before the show.
